Lexus South Africa recently held the Lexus regional skills competition that was hosted at Lexus Gateway. It is a culmination of 3 online questionnaires that had to be submitted within a certain time frame to qualify to make it to the regional finals.
The completion of these questionnaires tests the general knowledge of Lexus Sales staff. It is a way in which to test their ability to understand the Lexus product, to understand and embrace the brand values. The Lexus Skills Competition covers a broad spectrum of questions to ensure that only the best in the country qualify. Just to make it to regional finals on its own is a huge achievement.
Ishay Rajkumar (Manager – New Cars) and New Car Sales Executive, Lornette Shabally were amongst the participants that competed in this challenging competition. It is with great pleasure that Lexus Gateway congratulates Lornette on being a finalist and Ishay for finishing in second place.
The awards function was held the very same evening at the prestigious Durban ICC. The graduation ceremony of those that had been chosen to study through UNISA was held in conjunction with the Skills Awards Ceremony. Ishay, who completed a course in Marketing Management also graduated that evening. This shows the commitment that the Lexus staff have for wanting to excel above and beyond on the sales floor.
