It was a phenomenal celebration for the Shembe congregation to award their leader with a prestigious gift, a Lexus LX450d. The Shembe religion started on March 10th 1910 making it 108 years old. There is a yearly birthday celebration.
On this 108th Shembe birthday celebration, the committee members decided to commemorate the occasion by gifting their leader with a Lexus which they have been deciding on for the past six months. On 18th March 2018, Lornette Shabally escorted this stunning brand new black LX on a flatbed to Umzimkulu. It was a scenic drive on which the beauty of the South African countryside was not missed. At Umzimkulu Lornette was met by the seven committee member who formed a convoy to proceed to Tembeni where the ceremony was to take place.
On reaching the site we were met not with rolling hills of green but a swirling mass of white. Followers turned out in their multitudes to enjoy the celebration and behold this stunning black machine. The people were in absolute awe and reverence of the LX450d and it was some two hours later that the vehicle was actually unwrapped and presented to the leader.
On receiving this amazing gift, the leader was just has enraptured and likened the Lexus LX450d to a helicopter. Unmistakable from every angle, the Lexus LX is bold, muscular, good looking and commands the attention of all those around it. It boasts a generous interior and handcrafted details to forge the ultimate expression of beauty and strength.
It was a most humbling experience to meet with these people and experience their culture and to deliver this beautiful gift.
